Final Fantasy VII, or FFVII for short, is a role-playing game developed by Square Enix. It was first released in 1997 for the PlayStation and has since been ported to other platforms. The game tells the story of Cloud Strife, a former member of the elite SOLDIER unit, who joins an eco-terrorist group called AVALANCHE to fight against the Shinra Electric Power Company, which is draining the life force of the planet.
FFVII has been praised for its story, characters, and graphics. It is one of the best-selling video games of all time, with over 10 million copies sold worldwide. The game has been remade several times, including a full remake for the PlayStation 4 in 2020.
